What is WhatsApp Chat Generator?

A WhatsApp chat generator creates a visual mockup of a WhatsApp conversation — the green contact header, light-green (sent) and white (received) message bubbles, and WhatsApp's signature checkmark read receipts — without sending an actual WhatsApp message. It renders entirely in the browser, so no phone number or WhatsApp account is involved.

WhatsApp's checkmark system is a common detail people want to reproduce accurately: a single gray check means "sent," a double gray check means "delivered," and a double blue check means "read." This generator supports all three states per message so the mockup matches the real app's behavior.

How This Tool Works

The chat thread is rendered as styled HTML — green header, WhatsApp-colored bubbles, checkmark icons, and composer bar. When you click download, html2canvas captures the rendered thread element at 2x scale and exports it as a PNG via canvas.toDataURL().

What do the checkmarks mean?

One gray checkmark means the message was sent. Two gray checkmarks mean it was delivered. Two blue checkmarks mean it was read. Choose the status per message when adding it to match the scenario you're recreating.
