Buy me a coffeeWhat is Shareable Checklist Maker?
A checklist breaks a job into steps with a box beside each one. This maker keeps your list in your browser. Copy browser link puts the title and items after the # sign, which browsers do not send with page requests; recipients tick their own local copy. Share through WorkBoard is separate and optional: after confirmation it saves a new project to your account and creates a read-only link. Edit that account copy in WorkBoard to update its shared progress.
How to Use Shareable Checklist Maker
Type a title, then add your items one at a time and press Enter.
Tick items off as you go, and edit or reorder them as needed.
Copy text or Markdown, download Markdown, or print a clean page.
Copy browser link shares a local copy without uploading. Save to WorkBoard puts unticked items into your Inbox.
Optionally choose Share through WorkBoard to save a read-only account project, or Attach Markdown to a task to upload a file to an existing task. Both require explicit confirmation and the relevant account feature to be enabled.

Privacy
Checklist editing, printing, downloads and browser links run locally. The list is saved in this browser’s local storage. A browser link puts its title and item words after the # sign, which browsers do not send with the page request. Anyone with that snapshot link can read it and it cannot be withdrawn. Save to WorkBoard sends unticked items and the title to your account when signed in, or to this browser’s WorkBoard Inbox when signed out. Share through WorkBoard separately asks permission to save a project in your account and create a read-only link; anyone with it can read item titles and progress, and you can expire or turn it off. Attach Markdown asks you to choose an account task and confirm before the generated file is uploaded to private storage, where people with task access can download it. Attachments do not appear in public read-only links. Account features may be unavailable; local features keep working. The site records anonymous usage counts without checklist text.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a checklist generator?
A tool that turns a list of steps into a checklist you can tick off, print or share. This one builds the checklist as you type, with no template to fill in first.
Is my checklist uploaded anywhere?
The maker saves your list in this browser. Copy browser link holds it after the # sign, which browsers do not send with page requests. Account actions are opt-in: Save to WorkBoard sends unticked items to your signed-in account, Share through WorkBoard saves a project and creates a public read-only link, and Attach Markdown uploads the generated file to the account task you choose. Each action explains what will be sent before you confirm.
Can I change a checklist after I share the link?
A browser link is a snapshot: make a new link after changing the local list. An account read-only link shows the saved WorkBoard project, so edits in WorkBoard update it. Editing the local maker does not change that account copy. You can turn off an account link in WorkBoard.
Do ticks show up for the people I share with?
Browser links carry the title and item words only; recipients tick their own copies. An account read-only link shows the completion status saved in WorkBoard. People with that public link cannot tick or edit your account project.
How long can a checklist be?
Up to 100 items of up to 200 characters each, with a title of up to 80 characters. A link must stay under 4,000 characters in total. If your list is too long for a link, the page tells you how many characters to remove.
Can I print it?
Yes. Press Print and only the title, the count and the items are printed, with a box and a tick for each one, without the buttons around them.
