What is Facebook Bold Text?

Facebook Bold Text Generator maps each letter and digit to its Unicode Mathematical Bold equivalent. A–Z map to 𝐀–𝐙 (U+1D400–U+1D419), a–z map to 𝐚–𝐳 (U+1D41A–U+1D433), and 0–9 map to 𝟎–𝟗 (U+1D7CE–U+1D7D7). These are standard Unicode characters, not styled text. They appear visually bold in any font that includes the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, which includes all major operating system fonts. This makes them ideal for platforms that strip HTML and do not support markdown bold syntax.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some letters not appear bold?
Unicode Mathematical Bold only covers A–Z, a–z, and 0–9. Punctuation, spaces, and special characters have no bold Unicode equivalents and are passed through unchanged.
Does this work on Facebook specifically?
Yes. Facebook's composer strips HTML and does not support Markdown, but it renders all Unicode characters. Mathematical Bold characters display as bold text in Facebook posts, comments, and bio fields.
Will bold text affect search or SEO on platforms?
On most social platforms, Unicode bold characters are treated as distinct characters from their plain equivalents. Search algorithms may or may not recognise them as the same word. For important calls to action, include plain text alternatives.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser.
