How we build, write, and maintain everything on WebToolsPlanet.

WebToolsPlanet is a solo project — every tool, every line of documentation, every blog post is built and reviewed by one person (Khushbu, the founder). This page explains how we make sure the content and tools on this site stay accurate, honest, and useful.

Who Builds and Writes Here

All tools are designed, coded, and tested by Khushbu — a full-stack developer with experience building production web applications. Tools are built based on real use cases encountered in everyday development and design work, not generated to fill a list.

All written content (tool descriptions, FAQs, how-to guides, blog posts) is authored by the founder. We do not publish AI-generated content that hasn't been thoroughly reviewed and edited. If a tool description or guide isn't accurate or useful, we want to know — use the feedback page.

How Tools Are Built and Validated

  • Client-side first: Tools that handle sensitive data (passwords, API keys, private text, images) are always built to run entirely in the browser. Your input never leaves your device. This is verified for each tool — not just claimed.
  • Honest disclosure: When a tool requires server-side processing (for example, AI-powered tools), this is clearly stated on the tool page with a badge explaining what happens to your data.
  • Accuracy: Tool outputs are tested against known reference values and browser/spec standards. If a tool produces incorrect results, that's treated as a critical bug and fixed promptly.
  • No dark patterns: No fake countdown timers, no "premium" upsells hidden in free tool limits, no required signups where none are needed.

How Content Is Kept Up to Date

Tool pages include a "Last updated" date so you know when a tool's content or functionality was last reviewed. The site is actively maintained — tools are updated when browser APIs change, when users report issues, or when common workflows can be better served by a feature addition.

Blog posts and guides are reviewed periodically. If a post covers a technique that has changed significantly, it is updated or marked with a note indicating that the content may be outdated.

Feedback and Corrections

If you find an error in a tool, inaccurate documentation, or have a suggestion for improvement, please use the feedback page. All submissions are read by the founder personally. Factual corrections are addressed as a priority.

Transparency on Monetisation

WebToolsPlanet is funded by non-intrusive display advertising and voluntary "buy me a coffee" support. We do not accept paid tool placements or sponsored reviews. No tool is featured or ranked based on payment. Affiliate links are not used in tool recommendations.
