What is Random Team Generator?

Whether you are organising a sports session, a classroom activity, a game night, or a work workshop, splitting people into fair random teams can be surprisingly tedious. This generator does it instantly.

Two modes: enter a list of names and split them (two teams or equally-sized groups), or generate a set of randomly named teams without a participant list — useful for brackets and tournament setup.

How to Use Random Team Generator

1

Choose your mode: "Split Names" (paste a list) or "Generate Teams" (random named teams).

2

Enter names (one per line) or set team count and size.

3

Click "Generate".

4

Copy individual teams or all results.

Can I name my own teams?
In "Split Names" mode, teams are labelled Team A and Team B. In "Generate Teams" mode, random names like "Phoenix Wolves" and "Thunder Hawks" are assigned.
