Why this collection exists

Migrate a stylesheet — or an entire build pipeline — between Sass, SCSS, LESS, and Stylus without hand-rewriting variable syntax, mixin calls, and nesting rules. Each converter handles the specific syntax differences between its source and target preprocessor: brace vs. indentation-based nesting, `$variable` vs `@variable` vs bare assignment, and `@mixin`/`@include` vs `.mixin()` vs Stylus mixin calls.

Paste your source stylesheet and get converted output instantly — all conversion logic runs in your browser, so proprietary or unpublished CSS never leaves your machine.

Best fit for

  • Teams migrating a legacy Sass or LESS codebase to a new preprocessor standard
  • Developers adapting a third-party Stylus or LESS component library into an SCSS project
  • Frontend engineers converting a single file quickly without setting up a full build-tool pipeline
  • Contributors porting an open-source theme between preprocessor ecosystems
  • Students and learners comparing how the same styles are expressed across preprocessor syntaxes

Collection FAQ

Extra context around when to use this toolkit and where to start.

Do these converters run an actual Sass/LESS/Stylus compiler?

No — compiling to plain CSS is a separate operation. These tools translate source syntax directly between preprocessor dialects (e.g. Sass indentation to SCSS braces), preserving variables, nesting, and mixins in the target preprocessor's own syntax rather than compiling them away.

Will complex mixins and functions convert perfectly?

Straightforward variables, nesting, and simple `@mixin`/`@include` patterns convert reliably. Highly dynamic Sass functions or preprocessor-specific features with no direct equivalent may need manual review after conversion.

Is my stylesheet uploaded anywhere?

No. All parsing and conversion happens locally in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
