QR Code Print Checklist
Use this before sending QR codes to print, packaging, signage, table cards, menus, stickers, receipts, or badges.
Payload and Destination
- The QR opens the correct final URL, file, form, contact, WiFi network, payment screen, or chat.
- Private Google Drive, PDF, menu, or form links are set to public access when needed.
- URLs use HTTPS and the mobile landing page loads without sign-in unless sign-in is intentional.
- WiFi passwords, UPI IDs, phone numbers, country codes, and vCard fields are verified.
Design and Export
- Use dark QR modules on a white or near-white background for maximum reliability.
- Keep a clear quiet zone around the QR pattern; do not crop the margin.
- Export SVG for print when possible. Use 2048 px or larger PNG when raster export is required.
- If using a logo, keep it small, use high error correction, and test the final file.
Print Test
- Print one sample at the final physical size before ordering a batch.
- Scan with at least one iPhone and one Android device from the intended distance.
- Test in the actual lighting, including low light, window glare, glossy lamination, or counter placement.
- Confirm the destination still works after scanning the printed sample, not only the browser preview.
